In my paintings I bring the foreground and the background into the same plane so that they become one on the canvas, which lends itself to emphasizing the pattern element of any scene.

Have you ever watched tulips as the petals fall? They reveal the most beautiful, anthers, stamens and stigma, almost as beautiful as the flower itself. This was the inspiration behind 'Falling Petals'.
